Entrance to friends of German Gully.jpg

Friends of German Gully is a small informal group who work around the catchment area of German Creek in Belgrave Heights. German Creek starts in the area west of the Belgrave South primary school and makes its way into Monbulk Creek at Birdsland.

We regularly support each other to plant indigenous plants on our own properties and several small community areas. These include our main significant vegetation area in Lockwood Rd near Avonside Rd.

We have been regularly supported by Shire of Yarra Ranges with weed management and plant provision. We have a Melbourne Water small grant, and several members are working with ongoing Steam Frontage Management Program grants.

We welcome anyone with an interest in German Gully to join our activities, either regular or occasional!
